Persons deprived of their liberty were taken to SIPA premises for criminal processing and questioning as suspects. The acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will decide on their further status within the legal term, SIPA announced.

In the searches that were carried out in the area of Sarajevo, Zenica, Goražde, Travnik and Konjic, a large amount of documentation, university diplomas, student files, documentation related to the financial operations of legal entities, seals, 24,000 euros and 20,000 convertible marks, computers and other items that can act as evidence in criminal proceedings were discovered and temporarily confiscated.

As they pointed out earlier, this operational action covers several natural and legal persons, and the investigative activities relate to the processing of illegalities with which private higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina are connected.

The searches were carried out by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with police officers of the Federal Police Administration, the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, Zenica-Doboj Canton, Bosnia-Podrinje Canton, Central Bosnia Canton and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
