medThe sixth exhibition of honey and beekeeping was held yesterday in Modriča, where 24 beekeepers displayed their products from Modriča, Derventa, Vukosavlje, Gradačac, Petrov i Šamac.

The Deputy Mayor of Modriča Nikola Savić opened the exhibition.

Anto Milardović, President of the Association of Beekeepers “Bagrem”, which was registered in 1998, said that the aim of the exhibition, which has become a tradition, is to promote beekeeping as a source of healthy food.

Milardović stated that the organization currently has 72 members, and that their main goal is the development, protection and improvement of beekeeping, the production of environmentally clean and high-quality natural honey and other bee products, as well as the protection of the environment.

Guests of the exhibition were children from “Naša radost”, who performed a short program and then sampled honey.

The Association “Bagrem”, municipal tourist organization and municipality Modriča organized the exhibition.
