SkyScanner and ‘Time Out’ Magazine recommended Sarajevo as a Destination

Booking platform SkyScanner has published a list of destinations offering the most affordable flights and the best value for money, and Sarajevo has come in first place.

The prestigious British magazine “Time Out” writes that “Sarajevo, the unusual capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, full of bridges, is the most affordable place to fly”.

Compared to the period January – June 2023, flight prices to Sarajevo this year have fallen by 45 percent – so it is definitely worth including Sarajevo on the list of destinations to visit in 2025, the text recommends.

Considering the fact that Sarajevo, according to the readers of “National Geographic Travel” magazine, was recently declared the best destination for 2025, affordable flights will certainly further motivate tourists to visit us next year, according to the Tourist Board of the Sarajevo Canton.

Numerous new destinations and cheap flights from Sarajevo International Airport are the product of public calls, incentives and development measures for air traffic that, together with the Airport, were implemented by the Tourist Board and the Government of Sarajevo Canton, and whose implementation will continue in the coming year.

As a result, in addition to 23 new destinations with which we are directly connected, Sarajevo Canton has recorded a 20 percent increase in tourist traffic, an 8.6 percent increase in tourism revenues, and has won well-deserved awards and recognition for the best world destination, the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board announced.
