Snoop Dogg (52) has become a star of the Paris Olympics, winning the admiration of spectators with several unforgettable moments.

He carried the Olympic torch, captivated audiences as an NBC reporter in prime time, swam with Michael Phelps, attended a United States (U.S.) women’s soccer match with Megan Rapinoe, and even danced with Simone Biles.

“This is not a city for sleeping. This is not a time for sleeping. This is a time to behave how you want. Different events are happening day and night. I want to be active in everything because I love U.S. athletes and competition. That’s why I’m here,” Snoop commented on his time in Paris.

His appearance with Martha Stewart drew particular attention.

“I think he did an amazing job for the Olympics,” said Stewart, who attended the equestrian competition with the rapper. Social media was amazed with their coordinated outfits, as the duo sported matching helmets, black jackets, and white pants.

The rapper tried his hand at various sports and disciplines, with videos of his Paris adventures flooding the internet.

“Whoever decided to bring Snoop Dogg to the Olympics deserves a gold medal,” read one social media comment.

In his role as an NBC reporter, Snoop also conducted several interviews with Olympians, including basketball player A’ja Wilson, gymnast Suni Lee, skateboarder Jagger Eaton, and beach volleyball players Sara Hughes and Kelly Cheng.

Snoop’s presence in Paris is part of NBC’s bet to increase viewership by incorporating pop culture. So far, the U.S. broadcaster’s strategy has worked, with NBC claiming that by mid-week, it had 35.4 million viewers – more than double the same day during the Tokyo Olympics, Klix.ba writes.
