Who are Special Agents of SIPA?

SIPAALFA, BETA and GAMA – three sections of the Unit for special support of the State Investigation and Protection Agency – formed in 2005. The Anti-Terroristic Department, the Department for operations, Department for support – all of these are specially trained members of the highly professional units – special agents of SIPA. And if you were wondering who is arresting suspects for the most serious crimes in the country – criminals, corrupt politicians, drug dealers, terrorists, war criminals… It is done by the best police officers in the country – special agents of SIPA.

They are specialized for the high-risk tasks with the most modern weapons and equipment to fight organized crime and corruption. Training, planning, special skills, contemporary specialist training, dedication, and discipline made them always ready. And there is no place for fear in their job. The rain, autumn, winter, morning, day or night, on the ground, under water – their task is action, courage, and professionalism.

“Working day of special agents consists of morning and afternoon activities. In the morning hours, we are working on general physical preparations and special physical preparations. Running, swimming, cardio training, skiing, everything that makes us qualified to perform our activities, tasks, and duties. There are also more demanding exercises such as specialized training, shooting, and tactics of special effects,” said one of the special agents of SIPA.

The anti-terrorist section ALFA operates on detection, prevention, and elimination of consequences of terrorist activities in our country. Their target are suspects for crimes of terrorism. They can be engaged in combating terrorism at the international level. Department for operations BETA detects, prevents and eliminates the consequences of criminal activity.

They can be engaged in case of need for special skills, training, equipment, specialist knowledge and skills of mountaineering, overcoming of harsh and inaccessible terrain, anti-sniping protection, skills on the water and under the water and others.

Department GAMA is support for the others. Their task are quick and efficient maneuver-tactical actions in all weather conditions and situations. Their tasks also include providing specialist support when the use of dogs, connection jobs, encryption, logistical support is necessary as well as physical protection of the facility where the unit is located.

Behind these police officers are numerous missions, training, competitions, exercises – from which they bring rewards from all around the world together with their colleagues. Courage, professionalism, willingness – these are their premises.
