The construction of a sports hall in Babanovac on the Vlašić Mountain has started. The hall will enable different sports events to take place in this famous tourist destination.
Before the war Babanovac hosted many sports teams who used to train there because of ideal altitude, even though there was only one hotel and one football field. Today there are numerous hotels in Babanovac, but there is a need for more sports buildings.
”We started building a sports hall which with capacity of 300 spectators, and it will be suitable for handball, basketball, volleyball and futsal. The works should be ended in May this year”, said the manager of hotel ”Sunce” Suada Avdić.
