Stairway in Kaptol street of Sarajevo has been solemnly opened with the performance by primary school pupils of OŠ ‘Safvet-beg Bašagaić’ who recited Mak Dizdar and Izet Kiko Sarajlić.
Writer Ferida Duraković said that it is great to be in the city that celebrates its poets, and she thanked to Centar Municipality on the rehabilitation of the stairway because many poets of Sarajevo have lived and loved in the city.
Politician Dževad Bećirović said that the stairway is important and said that they’ll try to make other similar projects in order to make Sarajevo more beautiful.
Politician Varja Nikolić said that this is one of the series of bridges that will connect citizens of Sarajevo with verses of seven great writers, and by walking on the stairway, citizens will have the opportunity to read and enjoy the verses of Izet Sarajlić, Nasiha Kapidžić-Hadžić, Tin Ujević, Mak Dizdar, Velimir Milošević, Bisera Alikadić and Darijo Džamonja.
