State Investigation and Protection Agency arrested Two Persons for Illicit Drug Production

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), in cooperation with Bosnia-Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) Intelligence and Security Agency, implemented an operational action codenamed “Bato” aimed at the illicit production and marketing of narcotic drugs.

Following the order of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and the Cantonal Court in Mostar, SIPA police officers have arrested two persons in Mostar because of suspicion of having committed a criminal offense under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina production and marketing of narcotic drugs’.

During the operation, an all-terrain motor vehicle was searched and 44 bags of a total weight of about 40 kilograms were found and temporarily seized containing unknown matter, which by its appearance and structure associates with the narcotic drug cannabis sativa.

In addition, three mobile phones were temporarily seized. After criminal processing at the SIPA premises, persons deprived of their liberty will be transferred to further jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
