State Minister for Civil Affairs and Federal Minister of Education and Science at the World Education Fair in London

Minister for Civil Affairs, Sredoje Nović, and the Federal Minister of Education and Science, Damir Mašić, will participate in the World Education Forum 2013, which will be held from 28-30 January in London.

This conference is a unique opportunity for the ministers of education to speak together and share opinions on the challenges and opportunities they face. The central theme of this year’s Forum is dedicated to the development of systems for quantity, quality and impact, especially how to achieve success in reaching out to all students, and how to raise the quality of their teaching and the final affect.

Ministers from throughout the world will discuss innovative school curriculums and programs, including those that are based on the development of key skills in entrepreneurship, and which change traditional perceptions of existing cases and which positively impact on overall student success.

At the Forum the Ministesr will discuss how policies can expand the possibilities for the learning of all students, increase quality of education and ensure a positive impact on key social, economic and global challenges that each country faces.

The World Economic Forum is one of the biggest global education summits where Ministers of Education meet and leading experts from this area from around the world.

Minister Nović will emphasize the commitment of education authorities in BiH in the adjusting their policies, strategies and practices in the area of education, science and research according to EU standards.

BiH in the last few years achieved significant progress in framing the legal, strategic and institutional framework in the field of education, science and research.

Framework laws were passed that regulate the preschool, primary and general secondary, vocational and higher education, which are completely adapted to the requirements of the Copenhagen and Bologna process when it comes to vocational and higher training.

In talks is the drafting of legal and policy framework in the area of adult education and preparations for the further development and implementation of a qualified framework for lifelong learning in BiH.

55 Ministers, 6 international speakers and 17 state delegations attended the Forum that was held in January of last year.
