NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced a two-day session of the North Atlantic Council in the format of defense ministers.
Stoltenberg announced that the allies will work significantly in the coming period to strengthen their capacities, and that more concrete plans will be presented in two weeks in Madrid.
Speaking about aid to Ukraine, Stoltenberg said that the country should be helped to switch from Soviet weapons to modern NATO weapons. At the same time, he commented on the events around Sweden and Finland and their blockade imposed by Turkey.
According to him, the solution to this problem is being worked on while new steps are being prepared on their way to NATO.
The NATO chief also announced assistance to other partner “endangered” countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia.
