The Banja Luka Department for Civil Protection and Professional Territorial Fire Rescue Unit received 15 reports of flooded basements and garages, as well as fire after the storm that hit Banja Luka in the afternoon, said the head of this department, Dragan Babić.

Babić emphasized that there are many reports of clogged drains in the streets and that fire brigades are on the scene.

He stated that more reports came from the settlements of Centar and Nova Varoš, and that fire brigades brought the fire at a residential shack in the settlement of Ada under control.

Babić emphasized that the electronic installations most likely caught fire, and that the fire then spread to the entire building.

“We expect the stabilization of the weather and the resolution of all problems in the city,” he emphasized.
