An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale has struck Khuzestan province, located in southwestern Iran.
According to a statement from the Seismological Center of Tehran University, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the city of Heftgel in Khuzestan province.
The earthquake was registered at 7:32 a.m. local time.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of ten kilometers, and it has not yet been announced whether there were any human casualties.
