Upon the conclusion of class for the 2018/2019 academic year, students who have attended the Japanese Language Course in Sarajevo will be awarded certificates on Friday, 28 June 2019, starting at 18:00 o’clock, at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo.

The Japanese Language Course is an official 2-semester, 8-month course of Japanese language held at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, with support from the Japan Foundation and the Japanese Embassy. This course is held for the 6thconsecutive year in Sarajevo, and is open to all citizens of BiH regardless of their age or occupation. The classes are held in the evening so that most citizens can adjust their school and working schedules in order to attend the Course.

As part of Course activities, students gain opportunities to participate in events which allow them to meet native Japanese living in BiH, compete in speaking eloquence, gain local and global certification for their level of knowledge, go to social outings, practice calligraphy, wear traditional Japanese attire, try genuine Japanese food, or even travel to Japan.
