The exhibition of innovations was completed on Saturday in “the Silicon Valley of India”, in the 8.5 million city Bengaluru, at which members of the Association of Innovators BiH (AIBiH) were rewarded with three medals for six exposed innovations.
The gold medal went to dr. sc. Zehrudin Osmanovic, an associate professor at the Tuzla University of Technology, for an innovation that allows the process of getting concrete from polluting chemical residues, resulting from the production of salt and soda, through the conversion process.
The precipitate is deposited in the valleys, which are getting filled over time so much that they are called “white seas”.
Since it is related to problem widespread throughout the world, it is understandable why Osmanovic’s innovation got highest awards on all international exhibitions where it was promoted in this and last year.
Ivan Milicevic from Posusje won silver medal for “permanent basis for honeycomb”, also word-wide innovation, so he got so many awards that he could open gallery dedicated to honeycomb one day.
Borko Babalj from Trebinje won bronze medal for hermetic ashtray from which unpleasant cigarette smoke is not released, as well as even more unpleasant stench from cigarette butts, which is automatically turned off in ashtray due to lack of oxygen.
Special recognition was given to Mladen Karic, the vice president of AIBiH and member of the Executive Committee of the World Federation of innovative organization, IFIA (www.ifia.com). Portuguese Association of innovators Inventarium-Science awarded him with diploma and medal “for an enormous contribution to the world of innovative movement”.
