Following today’s meeting with Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Presidency Member Denis Bećirović, the Swedish Embassy in BiH issued a statement.

They recalled that the ambassadors of EU member states held a meeting with Bećirović.

“We emphasized that any unilateral moves that violate the jurisdiction of state institutions are unacceptable. We also emphasized the importance of using all domestic legal remedies to preserve the constitutional order of BiH and in that context we have taken note of the challenge submitted to the Constitutional Court of BiH,” they stated in their reaction.

They say that Sweden, together with the EU, is closely monitoring developments in BiH and is unequivocally committed to the sovereignty of territorial integrity, the constitutional order of BiH, as well as our country’s path to the EU.
