Table Tennis National Team wins Medals in Montenegro

stoni tenisThe U21 table tennis national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina achieved great success at the Balkan Championship which is being held in Nikšić, Montenegro.

The woman national team of BiH, consisted of Emina Hadžiahmetović, Snežana Marković and Elda Šehić, won the silver medal as a team, while men national team consisted of Edin Gutić, Kenan Zahirović and Siniša Marčetić won the bronze medal.

“This is the greatest success of the table tennis national team of BiH. I am very satisfied with performances of our competitors and I hope we will continue playing great and win medals in individual and double competition,” said the national coach of BiH Amela Hadžiahmetović – Mujezinović.

Women national team of BiH defeated the national team of Montenegro in the semifinals, while in the finals it was defeated by the national team of Serbia. In the match for the medal, the men were better than Macedonia.

BiH table tennis players continue the competition in individual and double category today and the Championship ends on August 22.
