The Balkans are a “foreign policy priority” for Italy, which wants the region to integrate into the European Union as quickly as possible and ensure its stability, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Friday, ADNKRONOS reported.

“The Balkans are a priority for Italian foreign policy,” Tajani said upon his arrival in Belgrade for a bilateral business forum attended by over 400 Italian and Serbian companies.

“We are working to ensure that the Balkans become part of the EU as soon as possible,” Tajani continued.
