kontrola_nebaThe Minister of Communication and Transport of B&H Damir Hadžić spoke in Brussels with the General Director of EUROCONTROL Frank Brenner on future activities of BHANSA (Agency for provision of air navigation services in B&H) in the process of taking control of the B&H skies. Minister Hadžić pointed out that in B&H there is a clear and undivided attitude at the state level that the implementation of BHATM project is a priority for B&H.

Director Brenner stated that great progress has been made in the process of taking responsibility for providing services in the separation of air traffic in FIR Sarajevo from BH ACC.

Minister Hadžić told Director Brenner that B&H is conducting further activities of taking over the B&H skies in accordance with the plan of transition and that initial operations from BH ACC will begin on 16 October 2014.

He said that with the opening of airspace for civilian air traffic over Kosovo in April this year, the number of flights over FIR Sarajevo will significantly increase, which will affect the revenue increase of BHANSA.
