According to the latest ranking published by TasteAtlas, the world gastronomic scene has received a new list of the best dried beef products, and among them are traditional specialties from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the list of the best types of dried beef, Bosnian and Herzegovina dried meat is in first place. This traditional product is recognized for its rich taste and long tradition of preparation.

Also on the list is Visoko pečenica, which was in ninth place.

In second place is the Spanish type Cecina de Leon. It is traditionally produced in the province of Leon. This traditional dried beef prosciutto is characterized by a long ripening process and specific climatic conditions that give it a recognizable flavor.

Also on the list is Zlatibor prosciutto, which is usually associated with the village of Mačkat, and is prepared following a centuries-old preparation method. Also on the list is Užice prosciutto, which actually comes from the same region, i.e. it is associated with Čajetina, Užice and Nova Varoš.

Other products such as Turkish pastırma and Italian Bresaola della Valtellina were also on the list.

TasteAtlas states that the ranking is based on user and expert ratings, with special mechanisms that filter out unrealistic or biased votes. The aim of these lists, they point out, is not to make a final judgment on the quality of food, but to promote local specialties and gastronomic traditions, Klix.ba writes.
