13022408_1759134017656608_2139645252_nWhen the time came for 15 graduates from the elementary school Branko Copic from Donji Agici near Bosanski Novi to decide about going on the school trip, their teacher made sure that no one is left without this trip to remember.

They needed a total of around 3,000 BAM to go in Neum on 4 days. Given that only few students were able to give the money, their teacher Alena Lonic resolved their concerns and made the students and their families happy.

The story about her quickly spread and everyone was delighted.

“I’m very glad that people have heard about Donji Agici and our school because we have many things to show and students that we can be proud of,” said this English teacher.

Most of the children who will go to Neum on the 13th of May had never seen the sea, and except for one trip to Banja Luka, they have never traveled anywhere. Therefore, the teacher started searching for donors and thanks to social networks, she managed to collect the full amount.

“There was a lot of donors. Three local companies applied, and the rest were numerous individuals mainly from Germany,” revealed Lonic.

When all the money was collected, she said to students that good people decided to pay them a trip. Their happiness was great, and Alena Lonic showed that everything can be possible if a person wants it, and it takes only a little effort and a good will.
