The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zeljko Komsic said today that the territorial reorganization of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the ethnic principle, which is advocated by the leader of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Covic, is not possible.
“No territorial reorganization of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the ethnic principle and unpacking of the Dayton Agreement in such political circumstances is possible, without it producing conflicts,” said Komsic.
According to him, those who call for the territorial reorganization of Bosnia and Herzegovina “are only applying pressure and sending public threats in order to fulfill their anti-civilizational and anti-European demands on changes to the Election Law of BiH”.
Komsic stated this position after Covic stated earlier today in Vitez that the Croatian National Assembly (HNS) is already working on solutions for the territorial reorganization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he will propose if the Election Law is not amended.
Komsic, who is also the president of the Democratic Front, stated that there is also a proposed solution for changes to the Election Law proposed by “pro-Bosnian parties”.
“Those who make decisions about possible solutions must not take as a reality the threat of ethno-territorial reorganization, in addition to the numerous proposals of pro-Bosnian parties on limited changes to the Constitution and the Electoral Law, which were repeatedly submitted to the parliamentary procedure, but also for inspection by international officials,” he said.
