The 14th International Fair of Tourism LIST 2016, which will be held in the period from the 12th to 14th of May 2016 in Lukavac, yesterday was officially opened.
The fair represents the promotion of cultural, historical and natural heritage for development of tourism of Tuzla Canton, but also improvement and promotion of overall tourist offer of BiH.
Organizers emphasized that the promotion of specific tourism potentials of BiH through the presentation of tourist destinations, natural beauties, hotels, restaurants, tourist agencies and other businesses, which are directly or indirectly related to tourism, results in an increase in the number of domestic and foreign tourists, which contributes to better position of our country as a tourist destination in the world.
A total of 130 exhibitors from 10 countries was registered on this year’s fair, which were placed in two exhibition halls.
Numerous dignitaries attended the opening ceremony, including: ambassadors of France, Croatia and Malaysia, representatives of the embassies of the Czech Republic and Turkey, Minister of Environment and Tourism Edita Djapo, representatives of ministries and the Government of TC, TC Tourist Board and the Hungarian delegation led by the Deputy Mayor of Harkány, Kecskeméti Pál, as well as many others.
“With big investments of private and state capital, Modrac Lake is now turned into a place for relaxation in the continental part of the country and it provides an ideal place for a holiday, whether you want to get engaged in water sports, fishing or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the lake. Lukavac is not a big city but it certainly is a city in which people love to come, and the evidenced for that is the 14th consecutive Lukavac Fair “, said Minister of Environment and Tourism, Edita Djapo.
Thank you notes were awarded to prominent institutions in supporting the realization of the fair, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of FBiH and representatives of Turkey and Malaysia.
Among goals of the Fair were stated nurturing and promotion of autochthonous Bosnian cuisine, the promotion of mountain biking as a sport that hides great tourism potential and starting discussions and initiatives on burning issues in the field of tourism through conferences and round tables, as well as organizing fair evenings in collaboration with some of foreign countries participants of the Fair.
