The air quality index in Sarajevo today was as high as 494, and citizens are currently breathing the second most polluted air in the world. According to data from the IQAir website, the only air quality worse is in Delhi.

The average air pollution in Sarajevo is as high as 494. However, some parts of the city are even more polluted, so according to measurements in Banjalučka Street, the pollution index is as high as 777, and in Nahorevka Street 586. There are numerous reasons that can influence such high individual measurement results.

The concentration of PM 2.5 particles is as high as 64.5 times higher than the permissible level and is marked as very unhealthy.

Citizens are advised to avoid spending long periods outdoors, to wear masks with an appropriate filter and to ventilate their homes less until the situation improves.

The weather forecast for tomorrow says that Sarajevo will be cloudy. The lowest morning air temperature will be around 4°C. The highest daily air temperature will be around 12 degrees, Klix.ba writes.
