The annual NATO Quality Assurance Forum (QA Forum) started today in Sarajevo. The host of the two-day event is the Training Center for Peace Support Operations (PSOTC) of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The forum brought together 61 participants from various education and training institutions accredited by NATO, with the aim of improving quality assurance within NATO’s education and individual training (E&IT) framework.

The NATO Quality Assurance Forum encourages the establishment of links between representatives of education and training institutions and the promotion of active cooperation within the quality assurance community. The key objectives of the forum include strengthening synchronization and interoperability within the NATO Quality Assurance Programme, contributing to the development of a strategy to address upcoming challenges, finalizing the work program in the field of quality assurance for 2025, and sharing lessons learned and best practices gathered during recent visits to educational institutions and training as part of their accreditation or reaccreditation.

The opening ceremony of the forum included speeches by Rear Admiral Placido Torresi, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) of the Multidomain Force Development Directorate (MDFD) at the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander Allied Command for Transformation (HQ SACT), Zoran Šajinović, Assistant Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina for International Cooperation, Colonel Damir Alibašić, PSOTC Commander, and Major Oliver Wild, Head of the Quality Assurance Department of HQ SACT. Everyone emphasized the importance of this forum for improving NATO’s quality assurance standards and encouraging cooperation for the preparation of future projects that will effectively influence NATO’s education and individual training.

Forum participants are quality managers or heads of quality assurance bodies from educational and training institutions institutionally accredited by NATO or those preparing for accreditation within the NATO Quality Assurance Program. Representatives of institutions applying for accreditation attend the forum, with the support and guidance of the Quality Assurance Expert Team from Allied Command Transformation (ACT).

PSOTC, as an institution for education and training institutionally accredited by NATO, makes its full contribution to the activities within the NATO community for quality assurance, announced the Public Relations Office of the MoBiH.
