The average Net Salary in December was 1.296 BAM

The average monthly paid net salary per employee for December 2023 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) was 1,296 BAM and is nominally lower by 1.1 percent, and in real terms by 0.9 percent, compared to the previous month.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the average paid net salary for December 2023 is nominally higher by 9.8 percent, and in real terms higher by 9.0 percent.

The analysis of data by activities of the Industrial Classification(KDBiH) 2010 shows that in December 2023, compared to November of the same year, the monthly net salary increased the most in the following activities: Financial activities and insurance activities by 3.9 percent, Professional, scientific and technical activities by 2.1 percent and Administrative and auxiliary service activities by 1.9 percent.

At the same time, the largest reduction in the average monthly net salary was recorded in the following industries: Manufacturing industry by 4.3 percent, Transportation and storage by 2.8 percent, and Mining and quarrying by 2.3 percent.

The average monthly paid gross salary per employee for December 2023 in the FBiH was 2,018 BAM and is nominally lower by 0.9 percent and in real terms by 0.7 percent compared to the previous month.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the average gross salary of employees for December 2023 is nominally higher by 10.2 percent, and in real terms higher by 9.3 percent, according to data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics.
