The best and probably the most beautiful speed skater of today, Jutta Leerdam, announced that her season was over after the competition in Salt Lake City, where the current world champion at 1,000 meters finished only in 11th place.

“This is my last race of the season, I’m not enjoying this anymore. My wrist, I’m just failing… I can’t hold it, tiptoe or sit. It’s not in good shape at all. I can’t even use my own strength, I’m competing with 60 percent,” the 25-year-old tearfully explained her joint problem.

Although she has been having problems with her wrist for some time, she previously kept this information to herself.

“If I talk about it, then it becomes a mental thing. That’s why I prefer not to talk too much, I look at everything as a physical injury,” she said.

Jutta will thus miss the upcoming World Championship in Calgary, which takes place in three weeks.

Let us remind you that Jutta has won a number of gold medals at the European and World Championships, and hopes for Olympic gold in Milan in 2026, Klix.ba writes.
