Until this moment, the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has not received any official information from the Republic of Serbia regarding the arrest of Salko Zildzic, a representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH (FBiH).
In response to an inquiry regarding this case, the Ministry of Justice of BiH explained that this ministry, usually, “does not independently take any actions when it comes to such cases, but only acts at the request of the competent judicial authorities, either of BiH or of another state”.
It should be recalled that the representative in the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament and the president of the SDA Tuzla City Committee, Salko Zildzic, was arrested at the beginning of this week at the Bajina Basta border crossing because the Serbian police found a gun and ammunition during the search of the car he was traveling in.
In the meantime, the High Court in Uzice ordered him to be detained for one month, and he is suspected of illegal production, possession, carrying, and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials. The procedure in this case is being carried out by the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Uzice.
