[wzslider autoplay=”true” info=”true”]The British Telegraph published a selection of the top 10 ski resorts in Eastern Europe, and B&H Olympic beauty Jahorina is listed as one of them.
“Jahorina Mountain is located 40 minutes away from the International Airport Sarajevo and it was the main place of the competition in the alpine disciplines for women during the Olympic Games in 1984. It is the largest ski resort in B&H, which has a new fast ski lifts. During the four-year siege of Sarajevo, Jahorina was a war position, and the mountain was mined. Trails are now demined, but it is still dangerous to move outside of them. Most of the slopes of Jahorina are suiting beginners and medium skilled skiers, and overgrown slopes protect skiers during the bad weather,” reported the Telegraph while presenting Jahorina Mountain.
Besides Jahorina, among the top 10 ski resorts were also: Poiana Brasov (Romania), Pamporovo (Bulgaria), Risa Khutor (Russia), Mariborsko Pohorje (Slovenia), Popova Shapka (Macedonia), Kranjska Gora (Slovenia), Kopaonik (Serbia) Bansko (Bulgaria) and Jasna (Slovakia).
