The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment against Saša Golub, for the murder of Nedžib Spahić in June 2020 in a restaurant in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Grbavica.

The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office accuses Golub of firing at least three shots at Spahić and then fleeing in a car.

Spahić suffered fatal stomach injuries.

The acting prosecutor proposed extending Golub’s detention.

For the main trial, it was proposed to hear 22 witnesses, six experts and present more than 100 material evidence, announced the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office.

Golub was arrested in April, after being on the run for two years and ten months.
