Sports Field Mjedenica rtm.baThe completion of the construction of the sports field Mjedenica and putting it into operation will be officially marked tomorrow, with an appropriate program carried out by the attendants of the  Institute Mjedenica.

At the newly built sports field, the students of the Institute will perform a program composed of recitals and folklore performances. Afterwards, the football team of the Institute Mjedenica will play a friendly football match with the primary school pupils from Stari Grad.

The Mayor of Stari Grad Municipality Ibrahim Hadžibajrić and the Director of the Institute for Education and Special Education of Children Mjedenica Selmir Hadžić will address those present.

The construction of the sports ground Mjedenica was funded by the Foundation Asmir Begović. Stari Grad Municipality has donated land for the construction of the playground, issued the necessary permits, and implemented a procedure of the selection of contractors.

Also, the Municipality has provided the construction of the access road to the field. With 42.000 BAM, the Foundation Asmir Begović financed the construction of the sports field, placing of the rubber mats, and equipping the field with sports fittings (one basket, two goals with nets, and two benches).

In April this year, the Mayor Ibrahim Hadžibajrić and BH national team player Asmir Begović visited the playground. At that occasion, the completion and opening of the playground were announced for May, as a part of celebrating the Day of the Municipality Stari Grad, it was said from the Press Service of the Municipality Stari Grad.
