The Consumer Basket amounts to almost 3,400 BAM

The consumer basket reached the amount of almost 3,400 BAM, which is a figure that the average family finds increasingly difficult to follow. However, it does not end there, because experts warn that the increase in fuel prices will lead to a chain price increase. Most of the money is spent on food, and those who produce food also warn that the situation is difficult, because this year they are faced with never-higher costs.

The bag is getting smaller and costs more and more. It’s only March, and the estimates for this year are not at all optimistic. Due to rising fuel prices, sowing is never more expensive, and more expensive production means more expensive food, say those who produce food.

The average family’s consumer basket has reached almost 3,400 KM, and the most is spent on food.

Producers and end consumers, those at the beginning and those at the end of the chain, suffer the greatest consequences of global events.

In response to the new situation, the authorities have set margins in the trade of certain products.

Bosnia and Herzegovina imports about 80% of the food it consumes, which makes us extremely vulnerable to global disruptions. It is already known that citizens will pay the price of global crises, but how much will it be when the line is drawn?
