The Consumer Basket in BiH amounts to Three Thousand BAM!

The trade union consumer basket in the Federation of BiH for September amounts to 2,993 BAM, according to the data of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions.

The average wage paid in FBiH for July was 1,257 BAM, and the minimum wage was 596 BAM, so the coverage of the union consumer basket is 41.99 percent of the average wage, and 19.91 percent of the minimum wage.

“The decrease in the price of the Union’s consumer basket compared to the previous month was solely due to the reduction of costs in the education and culture category,” the Union stated.

When creating the union consumer basket, the average salary paid in FBiH was taken into account, as well as the minimum living expenses of a four-member family consisting of two adults and two children, one of whom is of high school age, and the other is an elementary school student.
