The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina supported the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the “Digital Europe” program at the suggestion of Edin Forte, State Minister of Communications and Transport.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently the only country in the Western Balkans that is not a member of the Digital Europe program through which the European Commission secured a fund of 762.7 million euros.

The goal of this program is to strengthen Europe’s technological sovereignty and put digital solutions on the market for the benefit of citizens, public administrations and companies, and to contribute to the goals of the European Green Plan.

Forto expressed the hope that the Agreement on accession to the Digital Europe program will soon receive the support of the BiH Presidency in order to start signing it.

“The European Commission expressed its readiness to enable everyone from Bosnia and Herzegovina to apply for funds from the Digital Europe program immediately after the signing of the Agreement, which is a significant support for the process of digital transformation in the interest of our citizens and the achievement of European standards in this area,” the minister said. Forto, it was announced from the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
