The Daffodil Fair will be held in Masna Luka in the Blidinje Nature Park from May 29 to 31, an event that this year once again brings together numerous visitors through a combination of natural beauty, educational content and the promotion of local heritage.

The fair’s program includes workshops, exhibitions and creative activities that highlight the richness of the Herzegovina region and encourage its preservation and sustainable use.

Nada Šarić, the initiator of the story about natural perfumery and the fragrant riches of the Herzegovina region, emphasized that the goal of the Daffodil Fair is to draw attention to the exceptional natural wealth of this region, especially the daffodils that cover the Rakitna area and the mountains in their millions in spring.

She emphasized that the festival promotes the beauty, scents and values of natural heritage through various events and encourages its preservation and sustainable use.

“In May, millions of daffodils bloom in our fields. Since I am involved in natural perfumery, I managed to extract the scent of daffodils, and that was the beginning of the story of natural perfumery in this area. I wanted to show how the richness of our nature can become an inspiration for the creation of authentic products that carry the scents and identity of our region,” said Šarić.

Speaking about the contents of the Daffodils Fair, Šarić pointed out that numerous educational and creative activities have been prepared for visitors:

“Today, the fair program includes workshops with Amela Ivković O’Relly, a nutritionist who, through her work, strives to bring the natural resources of our region closer to everyday life, with a special emphasis on health and their usability. This will be followed by a workshop on creating a personal perfume, inspired by the scent of daffodils and essential oils from our region, which are combined with scents from different parts of the world.”

During the day, workshop participants will have the opportunity to learn about the perfume-making process and learn how they can create their own scent that suits them personally.

The program continues in the evening with a workshop with Sanela Klarić, which will focus on the creative use of materials from the environment.

According to her, participants will discover how various natural and available materials can be transformed into decorative and useful objects, and how simple ideas from everyday life can be applied in a sustainable and creative way.

A maximum of 30 participants could apply for the workshops, and this number has already been filled. However, interest in the exhibition part is significantly higher – it has already exceeded 100 visitors. This year, the event is being held for the sixth time, which further confirms its continuity and growing popularity. The three-day event is held as part of the Posuški lit, Fena news agency writes.
