The Day of Mourning in the Federation of BiH due to the Triple Murder in Sanski Most

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina made a decision at the last session held last week that today, August 26, will be the Day of Mourning in FBiH.

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina made this decision to express condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims of the triple murder in Sanski Most.

The day of the burial of the last victim of the tragic crime at the Mixed High School “Sanski Most”, August 26, 2024, is declared the Day of Mourning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the Government of FBiH.

In the horrific crime committed by school janitor Mehemed Vukalić, school principal Nijaz Halilović, teacher Gordana Midžan and school secretary Nisveta Kljunić were killed.

The Day of Mourning is marked by the mandatory display of the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina at half-mast, i.e. mast, on the buildings of legislative, executive and judicial authorities, public institutions, institutions and other legal entities in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the Day of Mourning, cultural and entertainment programs cannot be held in public places in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Also, media houses in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are obliged to harmonize and adapt their program content to the Day of Mourning.
