In Donja Gradina, the Day of Remembrance for the victims of the Ustasha crimes in the Jasenovac concentration camp and its largest execution site, Donja Gradina, was marked.

The commemoration was attended by delegations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, the USA and Israel, as well as the diplomatic corps.

The central part of the Remembrance Day celebration began with the Holy Liturgy, wreaths and flowers were laid on the Topole burial ground, and the memorial service and memorial service for the victims was served on the Hrastovi burial ground.

According to the data of the Donja Gradina Memorial Area, 700 thousand victims of Ustasha crimes were killed in the infamous Jasenovac camp during the Second World War, mostly Serbs, Roma, Jews and anti-fascists.

20 thousand children were killed in Jasenovac.
