The Delegation of the US Senate visited the Ministry of Defense of BiH

Deputy Ministers of Defense of BiH, Boris Jerinic and Sead Jusic, met with the delegation of the US Military Service Committee in the US Senate, led by Mr. Dustin Walker, together with their associates on August 14, 2018.

Deputy Minister Jerinic noted his satisfaction with this meeting during which he introduced the delegation of the US Senate with the activities and goals of the Ministry of Defense of BiH, activities on fulfilling the conditions for activating the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) for BiH, as well as the process of implementation of documents Defense Review and the Modernization Plan of AF BiH. They also mentione the tasks of the Armed Forces of BiH, including the participation of members of the Armed Forces of BiH in international peacekeeping missions.

They noted a great cooperation with the US, which gives great support to BiH. This was confirmed during the recent US-Adriatic Charter meeting in Croatia, which was attended by US Secretary of Defense, Mr. Mattis.

A member of the US Military Service Committee in the US Senate, Dustin Walker, praised the efforts of the Ministry of Defense on the activities and the adoption of the document Defense Review, and he also expressed his wish for the activation of the MAP, which would start the realization of this document. He also praised contribution of BiH to the preservation of peace in the world through active participation in peacekeeping missions, and noted that BiH represents a stable and perspective country.

During the meeting was noted the satisfaction with bilateral – defense cooperation between the US and BiH, as well as the possibilities for its further improvement.
