The football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play against Ukraine in the semi-finals of the playoff for Euro, it was decided by today’s draw in Nyon.
The Dragons will play against Ukraine in the semi-final of the play-off, while the other semi-final pair will be Israel and Iceland.
The semi-final match against Ukraine will be played on March 21, 2024 in our country, most likely in Zenica at the Bilino Polje stadium.
If our selection makes it to the play-off finals, the host of that match, which will be played on March 26, will be determined by lot.
Let us remind you that Germany, Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Turkey, Austria, England, Hungary, Slovakia, Albania, Denmark, Netherlands, Italy, Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Romania and Croatia have already qualified for the Euro. while the remaining three participants will be won through three barrages. Bosnia and Herzegovina is in barrage B.
This will be the fifth playoff in which the Dragons play to go to a major competition and the fourth in a row when it comes to qualifying for the Euros.
Unfortunately, we never made it to a major competition through the playoffs, and were stopped by Portugal twice (WC 2010 and EP 2012), Republic of Ireland (EP 2016) and Northern Ireland (EP 2020), Klix.ba reports.
