The Dutch right-wing Politician on the Match Cancellation: “Ataturk – Saudi Arabia 10:0”

After the cancellation of the Turkish Super Cup match between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, which was supposed to take place in Saudi Arabia, caused a series of reactions from the Turkish public and politicians, some European officials also spoke out.

Among those who commented on this sequence of events was the Dutch far-right and the winner of the elections in this country, Geert Wilders, who shared his view of the whole situation with the public on the X platform.

“Ataturk – Saudi Arabia: 10-0,” wrote Wilders, apparently pleased with the decision of the Turkish footballers to refuse to enter the field without shirts bearing the image of the founder of modern Turkey.

The Dutch politician has commented on the situation in Turkey before and has emphasized several times that Turkey needs a leader who will support secularism.

“I won the Dutch elections. I want the citizens of Turkey who support secularism and Kemalism to elect a new leader who can win the next elections,” said Wilders.
Also, he has previously called on the Turkish leadership to stop the influx of more Arabs into the country.

Let us remind you that the Istanbul clubs did not want to play the match because the organizer, in this case Saudi Arabia, forbade the players to appear on the field wearing shirts with the image of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, Klix.ba writes.
