At the EUFOR base in Butmir near Sarajevo, the Day of High-ranking Officials was held yesterday as part of the regular annual exercise “EUFOR Quick Response 2023″.

Numerous political officials were also present at the Day of High-ranking Officials, including the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and the Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to BiH, Johann Sattler.

During the demonstration exercise, EUFOR members demonstrated all available forces, including equipment that included aircraft, transporters, and numerous weapons. As part of the exercise, the situation of breaking up demonstrations was also simulated.

Namely, the annual EUFOR exercise takes place from September 11th to 29th. Soldiers from 22 EUFOR countries are participating in the exercise, which will temporarily augment the existing presence using reserve forces on standby in home countries.

“The purpose of this exercise is to demonstrate EUFOR’s readiness and confirm its continuous support for maintaining a safe environment in BiH,” it was said, Klix.ba reports.
