The resolution clearly states that, if BiH wants to obtain candidate status in the near future, it needs to support wishes expressed in the application with the concrete steps, which include reforms in social protection, the specific economic reforms, reform of the judicial system, adjustment of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement in its trade part and functional coordination mechanism.

Resolution calls for refraining from nationalist rhetoric, threats with referendums and the collapse of the common institutions of BiH. Also, it urges the authorities to prepare an action plan for the implementation of strategies for prevention and fight against terrorism for the period from 2015 to 2020, and expressed regret that there was no progress in the execution of verdict in cases Sejdic-Finci and Zornic.

When it comes to the message to the European institutions, European parliamentarians asked to seriously consider the application of BiH, together with the Member States, and to request an opinion from the European Commission as soon as possible on the reality of the new steps of BiH in European integration – getting the status of candidate.

For this to happen, it is necessary to convince the EU in the seriousness of the steps that are promised by the Reform Agenda, according to the Dutch presidency, which is attitude of other European institutions as well.
