Minister of Trade, Tourism and Transportation Mirsad Gluhic and Minister of Healthcare Bahrudin Hadziefendic visited the International Airport of Tuzla where they talked with the director Rifet Karasalihovic about everything that has been realized last year as well as future plans for this year.

Director Karasalihovic presented the dynamics of works on the reconstruction of the passenger terminal to ministers of the Government of Tuzla Canton, as well as the project of the construction of atrium and the space where travel agencies, rent-a-car houses and souvenir shops will be located at the International Airport of Tuzla. Karasalihovic noted that some of the works were delayed due to weather conditions and low temperatures, and added that all works should be completed by the end of May.

Minister Gluhic also noted a record 50 % increase in the number of passengers in the first three months of this year. By keeping the same number of passengers in the remaining nine months, the International Airport of Tuzla could have more than half a million passengers on an annual basis. The International Airport of Tuzla had a total of 40,563 passengers in January, which is by 52.81 % more than in the same period last year, while it recorded a total of 35,976 passengers in February, which is by 55.70 % more than in the same month of the year of 2017.
