In the first ten months of this year, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) exported electricity worth about 952.5 million BAM, which is 56.7 percent more than in the same period last year.
Moreover, electricity was imported for 268 million BAM, which is an increase of 67.8 percent.
For the whole of last year, the export was 830 million BAM, which was also a growth of about 67 percent. This year, as can be concluded, it will greatly exceed one billion BAM.
It should be mentioned that electricity prices in Europe rose drastically this year after the Russian attack on Ukraine, as did the prices of other energy sources.
In this case, BiH profited from the rise in electricity prices. Many countries are facing a shortage of electricity.
Total exports from BiH in ten months of this year amounted to 15 billion and 47 million BAM, which is 31.5 percent more than in the same period in 2021, Biznis Info reports.
