The FBiH Government subsidizes Housing Loans for Young People

Deputy Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH and Federal Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević and President of the Management Board of Union Bank d.d. Sarajevo Vedran Hadžiahmetović signed an agreement on a housing credit line for young people on favorable terms at the bank’s headquarters in Sarajevo.

This makes the loan operational and all those interested can apply from tomorrow.

“For the fifth year in a row, we have been allocating subsidies from the budget of the Federation of BiH to support housing for young people. This year, the allocation of 15 million KM is especially important in light of the current global economic crisis.” These incentives help young people start fulfilling their dreams of starting a new chapter in life on their own, thus giving them more reason to stay in their country, start their own families and be economically independent, the federal minister said. Milicevic on the occasion of signing the contract.
The President of the Management Board of Union Bank pointed out that the credit line of housing loans for young people is a successful project that has been implemented since 2018 in cooperation with the Government of the Federation of BiH.
“The special feature of this project is socially responsible lending, which is reflected in the low interest rate that we further reduce our clients after the birth or adoption of children, which is an additional incentive to keep young and educated people in BiH. This year, Union Bank will increase of the credit line, we have extended the repayment period to 25 years with an increased amount of individual loan to 250,000 KM, and it is especially important to point out that the interest rate is fixed until the end of the loan repayment period. contributes to improving the living standards of our clients “, said Hadžiahmetović.
