The fifth edition of the Stojčevac 5K humanitarian race was successfully held today at the Stojčevac picnic area in Ilidža, organized by the Municipality of Ilidža, with the technical support of the Cultural, Sports and Recreational Center of Ilidža.

Hundreds of runners, cyclists, volunteers, citizens and visitors enjoyed the all-day program that, in addition to sports activities, also offered rich entertainment content as part of the Family Day.

The Stojčevac 5K race, which started and ended in the Stojčevac area, confirmed its status as one of the largest humanitarian sports events in Bosnia and Herzegovina this year. After last year’s premiere, a road and mountain recreational cycling ride was also held, which again attracted a large number of participants and further enriched the program.
Numerous free activities for play, fun and recreation were available to the youngest visitors throughout the day, while runners and cyclists enjoyed the unique ambiance and natural beauties of Stojčevac and Ilidža.
The Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur, thanked all the participants, partners, sponsors, volunteers and citizens who supported another edition of this special event.
“The Stojčevac 5K is much more than a sports event. This is an event that brings together people of all generations, promotes humanity and togetherness. Thank you to all the participants, friends of the race, sponsors and citizens who were part of this beautiful story today. I am especially pleased by the fact that every year we have an increasing number of participants and that the Stojčevac 5K continues to grow together with its community,” said Mayor Muzur.
The entire income from entry fees is directed to humanitarian purposes this year as well. Funds were allocated to the Ilidža Pensioners’ Association, PK Spid and the association “Heart for Children with Cancer”.
The program was completed with musical content, while during the day the announcement of the most successful participants and awarding of prizes provided by sponsors and friends of the event were held.
The Stojčevac 5K charity race once again showed how much sport, nature, togetherness and humanity can connect people, leaving behind another successful edition and the announcement of an even more substantial program next year.
