The film ‘Pavilion’ by Dino Mustafić won the Award for the best Film at the Cine Paris Film Festival

The film “Pavilion” by Dino Mustafić won the award for Best Film at the international Cine Paris Film Festival, which gathers authors and independent film productions from different parts of the world.

The award was given during the April edition of the festival, whose program includes fiction, documentary, animated and experimental films, while the awards are decided by an international expert jury made up of film professionals. Through the system of monthly selections and awards, the festival affirms independent and auteur films on the international scene.

The award for the best film represents a new international recognition for “Pavilion”, a work that has been recognized on the festival circuit so far for its author’s poetics, strong acting interpretations and social relevance. Through a universal story about dignity, freedom and the human need for solidarity, the film establishes communication with an audience of different cultural and social experiences.

This award represents another confirmation of the film’s international reception and its successful festival life. After numerous screenings and recognitions, “Pavilion” continues to represent Bosnian cinematography on the international film scene and to confirm its authorial potential in front of audiences around the world.

In the movie “Pavilion” they play: Rade Šerbedžija, Zijah Sokolović, Miralem Zubčević, Ksenija Pajić, Jasna Diklić, Branka Petrić, Meto Jovanovski, Vladimir Jurc Lali, Kaća Dorić, Muhamed Bahonjić, Ivo Barišić, Ermin Bravo, Alban Ukaj, Nikša Butijer, Vedrana Božinović, Mirjana Karanović, Ermin Sijamija, Aleksandar Seksan, Snežana Vidović, Selma Mehanović, Zlatan Školjić, Adis Mehanović, Siniša Vidović, Faketa Salihbegović-Avdagić, Ivica Šarić, Mugdim Avdagić, Sabina Kulenović and Ana Novaković.

The film was created according to the script of Viktor Ivančić and Emir Imamović Pirket, it is a black comedy about a group of residents of the old people’s home “Pavilion”, who after years of abuse and humiliation decide on an armed rebellion. Armed with illegal means, they occupy the home, take the staff hostage and enter into conflict with the authorities.

The film “Pavilion” was premiered at the opening of the 31st Sarajevo Film Festival, and was co-produced by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia, according to the press release.
