The traditional Christmas Bazaar organized by the employees of the German Embassy in Sarajevo will be held on Saturday, November 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the German Embassy building.
This year, visitors can expect an abundance of traditional culinary specialties such as Christmas cookies, cakes, mulled wine, as well as authentic German specialties such as barbecue sausages “Currywurst” and liver cheese “Leberkäse”.
For all those who want to enchant their home with the festive spirit, handmade Advent wreaths and decorations are available, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany announced.
Representatives of local initiatives with which the Embassy closely cooperates will also exhibit their products and handicrafts. The bazaar will also be supported by numerous partners of the German Embassy with their participation and donations, and a raffle with valuable prizes will be organized.
As every year, all funds raised will be directed to charity. In addition to its humanitarian character, the Christmas Bazaar is also recognizable for its pleasant festive atmosphere and socializing. Well-known Christmas songs and holiday hits will be performed by children from two children’s choirs from Sarajevo.
The bazaar will be opened by the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Thomas Fitschen, at 11 a.m. with a ribbon cutting and welcoming words.
