The Government of Japan granted a Waste Collection Truck to the Municipality of Jezero

On 17th of October 2025, Mr. AIKI Toshihiro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the presence of Ms. Snezana Ruzicic, the Mayor of Jezero Municipality, attended the hand–over ceremony of a waste collection truck to the Municipality of Jezero.

Through the program ” Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP)” , the Government of Japan granted 135,533 Euros(approx. 265,080 KM) to the Municipality of Jezero. The project is expected to contribute to the improvement of waste management services and the enhancement of the municipality’s environment, which wouldsupport the Municipality’s plan to develop eco-tourism, and approximately 1,150 residents of the Municipality will benefit from the waste collection truck.

The Mayor of Jezero Municipality, Ms. Snezana Ruzicic expressed her gratitude for the donated waste collection truck, which will greatly support environmental protection and improve living conditions in a healthier environment. Ambassador AIKI expressed his satisfaction that the project has been successfully completed and hopes that this assistance will be of great assistance to all the residents of Jezero Municipality and beyond.
