At yesterday’s session in Sarajevo, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) adopted a Decision on determining the final amount of funds for the payment of a one-time monetary compensation of 100 BAM to unemployed persons in the FBiH, in accordance with the Decree on supporting the population due to the rise in the consumer price index.

On the basis of the data on benefit beneficiaries from the submitted requests of the competent cantonal employment services, it was determined that a total of 18.724.700 BAM is required for payment.

Namely, ten cantonal employment services submitted data on a total of 187.247 unemployed persons who exercise the right to a one-time monetary compensation of 100 BAM each. These funds will be provided from the Budget of the FBiH for 2022, at the division of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, from which payment will be made to the transaction accounts of each of the employment services, according to the data submitted by them to the Government of FBiH.

Yesterday’s decision of the Federal Government for the payment of a one-time monetary compensation comes into force on the day of its adoption.

Competent cantonal employment services are obliged to pay a one-time compensation to the user’s transaction accounts no later than December 20th of this year.

Upon payment of benefits to beneficiaries, the cantonal employment services must submit to the FBiH Government a report on the realization of the funds, with information on the number of persons to whom the payment was made and the total amount of money spent for these purposes, by January 15th, 2023 at the latest, the FBiH Government Office for Public Relations announced.
