At the session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament on Thursday, the proposal for the Law on the Southern Interconnection was adopted in an urgent procedure.
76 representatives voted in favor, five abstained and 14 against. In order for this Law to enter into force, it must also be adopted by the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament.
HDZ BiH representatives were against the proposal, and during the debate, their representative Mladen Bošković said that due to the outvote, they would question every decision of the coalition partners in the future. HDZ 1990 representatives abstained during the vote for this law.
This law will prevent dependence on Russian gas by ensuring that liquefied gas will arrive from Croatia, i.e. via Zagvozd and Imotski to Posušje, and then further towards the rest of the country.
Our Party’s amendments were also adopted, with which the SDA’s proposal for the law is in line with the rulings of the Constitutional Court of BiH.
What attracted attention was that during the break, US Ambassador Michael Murphy sent a video message to SDP representatives and suggested that HDZ 1990 conclusions on this law be adopted.
